Thomas and Diana live in Maine, about as far from Arizona as possible - but they wanted a cozy, but functional vehicle for his travels. No stranger to red cedar, a popular building material in his neck of the woods, Thomas and Diana decided Boho was the place to get it done.

Blue Cat is named in honor of Diana’s blue cat, and is built on a Ram Promaster 2500 High Roof 159 wheelbase. Thomas and Diana’s choices included grey/blue tones throughout the van from the floor to the custom upholstery, to the curtains and stone backsplash over his kitchenette.

Blue Cat features Victron electrical components with three ways to charge the house bank: 340 watts of roof-mounted solar, a dc-to-dc isolator of the car engine and a shore power hookup for worry-free power use.

A 25 gallon water tank feeds both a stainless steel gooseneck sink and an outdoor shower off the back of the van. A large door was created to allow access between the garage and the living space and allows for bringing along longer items such as skis and fishing poles.

The finished van has a portable 2-burner stove for cooking, and a 75L Dometic fridge stored under the sofa to keep refreshments cold.

Blue Cat will be heading cross country to Bethel, ME in time to enjoy for the beautiful fall and temperature temperatures of the northeast.
